“Campaign for the Amendment of Article 112 (Lese majeste law)”

The Campaign Committee for the Amendment of Article 112 (CCAA112) would like to invite interested individuals and the media to participate in the academic-cultural event on

Sunday 15th 2012 at 1.00-5.30 PM at Sriburapha Hall, Thammasat University (Tha Prachan campus).

The aim of the campaign launch is to obtain 10,000 signatures supporting the amendment of the draconian Article 112 of the Thai criminal code (also known as the lese majeste law). The amendment proposal has been drafted by a group of progressive legal scholars called “the Nitirassadorn”.

Signees must be Thai nationals who participated in the last national election. They must bring a copy of their National ID Card and Household Registration.

The Campaign Committee for the amendment of the Article 112 consists of several academic and activist networks namely the Midnight University, Nitimon, Nitirassadorn, People’s Poets, Red Siam, Sang Sumneuk Writers, Santi Prachadham, Silpakorn Community for the People and Student Federation of Thailand (SFT)
