We reported Harry Nicolaides’ arrest over alleged lese-majeste charges resulting from his book, Versimilitude, including the passages which resulted in his arrest. However, in September Reporters Without Borders reported that Harry has not been charged.

Yet Harry remains in Bangkok’s remand prison, apparently held illegally without charges. If Harry’s book is the problem here, then the new Printing Act 2007 merely specifies seizing all copies of the book and contains no provision for arresting an author or publisher.

Matthew McDaniel’s website, Akha.org continues to post a review of Harry’s book. Yet we have been unable to obtain a copy of his alleged book, despite inquiries to Akhalife, Harry’s parents and his Australian lawyer, Mark Dean.

Does this book exist? Or do Thai authorities suspect something further from Harry? Can any FACT reader send us a copy, scan or even a photocopy of Versimilitude???

  1. “Disappear”

That’s what Harry Nicolaides wrote would happen to any of the Crown Prince’s minor wives if they betrayed him.

But people don’t just disappear. So, by “Disappear”, did Harry really mean “killed”?

If so, is Harry Nicolaides warning us that the Crown Prince of Thailand, Maha Vajiralongkorn, a serial killer?

Could it be that Harry’s arrest has nothing to do with his book? (even if it exists) Perhaps it’s about trying to stop the rumours relating to the Crown Prince’s mental state?

  2. I am contacting the Australian Embassy in Bangkok and Police to try to get to visit Harry. Partly to see his condition, and to question police closely as to why he is in prison. As well, to inquire as to whether the police can be sued for continued criminal wrongdoing by the imprisonment.

We were asked by harry’s family to take it down. Now that harry is still in jail we put it back up.

You think the word is the prince exile the women, they should be so lucky.

The book got a small printing but my friend who had two copies he lent could not recover them.

We offer a small reward for a copy.

You can email us at akhalife@gmail.com

Harry is a guy who cares about other people. Maybe he saw a problem with the concept of disposable women, quite common in Thailand. That is why we see so many who rent them knocking Harry.

Harry had a kind heart for the Akha and others. More than just beer and hookers.
