When he went to visit his Deputy Prime Minister Mun Patanotai, at his Information and Communications Technology Ministry, Premier Somchai Wongsawat was startled when more than 100 angry members of your TOT’s union started screaming “murderer” and throwing their sandals and calling him 12-letter names; police hustled him out of the building as the union chaps hurled shoes and plastic water bottles to encourage them to move more quickly.

Information and Communications Technology Minister Mun Patanothai stayed away from work for most of the week in dread that the bad workers from your TOT labour union across the Chaeng Wattana compound would do something terrible; embarrassed TOT president Warut Suvakorn asked the workers to at least be polite; hard-line union members said they would oust the minister and oust his government, so Mr Mun refused to go to his office; that triggered the red-shirt mob in Chiang Mai, Udon Thani and Khon Kaen to protest at TOT offices in those cities.
