Save 2519.net!
http://www.2519.net, a very informative website, allowed its domain name to expire, and faces permanent deletion in August if not renewed. This site has lots of great historical background, text and photos, etc.
If anyone knows how to contact 2519’s webmasters, please let them know before this valuable reference is gone forever.

Their contact detail are on whois.net:

Maybe they have decided to close, because they have excluded themselves from archive.org’s internet archive.

I had put up a similar notice several days ago, and today called the Chiangrai admin contact who confirmed that the domain name had been renewed. I confirmed this by going online today and things seem to be working fine.

I’ve visited Thailand a few times and was thinking of coming again end of this year but I’m worried abuot the politics. I read on the news about the problems and maybe this government won’t last. Will there be another electino (coup?), instability, maybe protests on the streets of Bangkok? Any answers?

There are already protests on the streets of Bangkok, and the situation is, unfortunately, very similar to the one before the coup two years ago. Another election and/or coup is possible.
It was perfectly safe for tourists before and during the 2006 coup, so if there is another one and it goes the same way then there’s nothing to worry about from that perspective.
